Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo makes 700th club appearance vs. Valencia

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has made his 700th club career appearance as he was named in the starting XI against Valencia.

Ronaldo, 32, has not scored in his last two games -- a 3-1 win over Napoli in the Champions League and a 2-0 win over Espanyol in La Liga -- but takes his place in the side with Gareth Bale on the bench after his return from injury.

The Portuguese has played for three clubs in his career: Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United and Real Madrid. He has scored 509 club goals from his 700 appearances to date.

The superstar has also enjoyed great success across the various competitions, with his 95 goals in the Champions League the current record.

Ronaldo added to his goal tally against Valencia but Real went 2-0 down inside 10 minutes on Wednesday night and lost 2-1 as their lead at the top of La Liga was cut.
