Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez says he is "working hard" to be fit for the upcoming Champions League final against Atletico Madrid on May 28.
Lucas Vazquez started the season as a backup squad member at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, but injuries through the year to higher profile teammates including Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema have seen the 24-year-old play regularly as Madrid have finished the season strongly.
Having featured in both Champions League semifinals against Manchester City, the Galician picked up a knee injury in the 3-2 win at home to Valencia in early May, and missed Madrid's final La Liga weekend 2-0 victory over Deportivo La Coruna.

The issue does not appear to be too serious however, with Lucas Vazquez posting to social media that he was putting in the effort to be back in time to face Atletico.
