Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo wants 'magical night' vs. Wolfsburg

Cristiano Ronaldo has called on Real Madrid's fans to help create a "magical night" when the side look to overturn a two-goal deficit in the Champions League against Wolfsburg on Tuesday.

Real suffered a shock 2-0 loss in the first leg of their quarterfinal at the Volkswagen Arena, leaving Zinedine Zidane's men facing an uphill task to avoid an exit.

But Ronaldo, who was on target in Madrid's 4-0 win over Eibar at the weekend, is confident Los Blancos have what it takes to complete a memorable comeback at the Bernabeu.

He said in AS: "Tuesday will be perfect, it'll be a magical night; with your help the players will give the maximum on the pitch and we will go through to the next round. Hala Madrid!

"I'd love to see the Bernabeu packed out and supporting us all the way because that will really spur us on. I hope it's a magical night, I'm very excited. The team is confident, the coach is confident and the fans are confident too. Tuesday has to be a magical night.

"It has to be a perfect night. Every aspect will be important. Those of us on the pitch will need to run, battle and play an intense game for the full 90 minutes.

"Obviously, with the fans supporting us, that makes it much easier for us. We also need to be cool-headed in many moments of the game; we have to be patient and know that we will suffer.

"Passing this tie is the big objective. It's the only solution to ensure the players and the fans leave the stadium happy."

Ronaldo's strike on Saturday made it six seasons in a row that the Portugal international has hit 30 La Liga goals for Real.

He currently has 43 goals to his name from 41 appearances in all competitions, as well as 15 assists.
