Real Madrid said 'goodbye' to La Liga title vs. Valencia - Dani Carvajal

Dani Carvajal believes Real Madrid have said "goodbye to the league" after their 2-2 draw at home to Valencia.

Goals from Pepe and Isco saw Real fight back from two goals down against Valencia but Carlo Ancelotti's side were unable to find a winner.

The result, coupled with Barcelona's 2-0 win over Real Sociedad, sees Los Blancos four points behind their rivals with two matches of the Liga season to play.

Carvajal said: "At home we couldn't slip up, we've done that and we say goodbye to the league.

"It's painful because we wanted to fight until the final day, although we'll keep on doing that."

Speaking after the 2-2 draw, Ancelotti said it would be "difficult" to catch Barcelona in the La Liga title race.

Four points between now and the end of the term could still be enough for Real to clinch the title so long as Barca lose their remaining fixtures -- as Ancelotti's side have a better head-to-head record with their rivals.

Real are next in action on Wednesday when they host Juventus looking to overturn a 2-1 Champions League semifinal first-leg loss.
