Real Madrid's Alvaro Arbeloa not feeling threatened by Danilo deal

Alvaro Arbeloa says he is not worried about his future at Real Madrid, even though the club are signing another right-back this summer in Danilo.

Madrid have already confirmed that Danilo will join for next season, with his current club Porto saying he will cost them €31.5 million.

Given Dani Carvajal has been first choice this season for Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, the arrival of another young right-back has seen many pundits assume that Arbeloa will be moving on.

However, the former Liverpool player told TV chat show "El Chiringuito de Jugones" that he has always known there would be competition for places at the club.

"The signing of Danilo is great news for Real Madrid," Arbeloa said. "He is a very good player -- half of Europe was interested in him.

"I came here knowing the best players in the world are here. I have no doubts that the best players will keep arriving."
