Cristiano Ronaldo's 290th Real Madrid goal moves him level with Santillana

Cristiano Ronaldo has equalled another goalscoring record for Real Madrid after matching club legend Santillana's tally.

Ronaldo scored his first La Liga goal since Jan. 18 as he helped Real beat Elche 2-0 at the weekend, with the side opening up a four-point lead at the top of the table.

The Portugal international's header was his 290th goal for Los Blancos, putting him level with former Spain striker Santillana.

Ronaldo has achieved the feat in 280 appearances for Real, which is 362 fewer than it took Santillana to reach the total.

Only Alfredo di Stefano (307 goals) and Raul (323) remain in front of the former Manchester United player.
