Sami Khedira dismisses reports that he has agreed to join Bayern Munich

Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira has denied reports that he has agreed a free transfer to Bayern Munich for the 2015-16 season.

Khedira is out of contract at the Bernabeu in the summer, and while both player and club have said a new Madrid deal could be signed there have been few indications that will happen.

Reports have claimed that the Germany international may already have signed a pre-contract agreement with Bundesliga champions Bayern, while Premier League clubs including Chelsea and Arsenal are also thought to be interested.

However, he told German newspaper Bild that he had not yet made a commitment to any club.

"[The Bayern reports] are not true," he said. "My future is still open."

Coach Carlo Ancelotti told the paper that a new Madrid deal for Khedira was a possibility and said: "The club is in contact with his entourage and his agent. He is always the same, a character who focuses on his work."

However, radio show El Larguero claimed some senior figures at the Bernabeu are less impressed and have decided that Khedira will only start a game for the club again "in an emergency."

Khedira, 27, has suffered a succession of injury setbacks, which led Marca to detail the problems that have limited his contribution this season, most recently a hamstring strain suffered during Saturday's 4-0 thumping by Atletico Madrid.

January signing Lucas Silva is expected to make his first Madrid start in Saturday's home game against Deportivo La Coruna and to be ahead of Khedira in the pecking order for the remainder of the campaign.
