Cristiano Ronaldo hails 'amazing' Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti

Cristiano Ronaldo has pinpointed the importance of coach Carlo Ancelotti to Real Madrid's success in 2014.

Speaking to AS, Ronaldo reflected on an incredible year for Los Blancos, who won the Champions League, Copa del Rey, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.

"The boss is incredibly important in all of this. He is an amazing coach and an amazing person," the Portugal international said.

"We are all delighted with him. Together, we are like a family and united in our attempts to go even better than we have done in 2014."

Ronaldo, who scored 56 goals for Real in 2014, is focused on ensuring the next 12 months are even more successful.

He said: "I hope 2015 is even better than 2014. [At Real Madrid] we have a collective spirit which can propel us to win the most silverware possible.

"It's possible because Madrid is always amongst the candidates to win every competition they enter. We will be giving absolutely everything we've got to win every trophy in play next year."

On Boxing Day, Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes appeared to rule out the prospect of his client leaving Real Madrid any time soon after confirming he expects the Portuguese star to finish his career at the Bernabeu.
