Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos says he does not expect any problems in reaching an agreement over a new contract with the club.
Ramos' current deal runs until June 2017, but persistent speculation has held that he is seeking a pay-rise after making such a crucial contribution to last season's Champions League triumph, and there have been reports linking him with Manchester City and Chelsea.
The issue gained more public traction recently when former Madrid sporting director Arrigo Sacchi wrote in La Gazzetta dello Sport that Ramos had told him current Blancos president Florentino Perez was not prepared to meet his wage demands -- something the defender quickly denied via Twitter.

Speaking on "El Larguero" after Madrid's 4-0 World Club Cup semifinal victory over Cruz Azul, the Spain international stressed again that money was not his primary preoccupation, and he was sure terms for a new contract could be agreed with Perez.
"I have a lot of affection and respect for [Sacchi] -- he was an important person when I signed for Madrid," Ramos said. "I was with him a long time [but] I explained in my tweet: I do not do things for money. I never have. In this sense it depends on my happiness, and that of the president. I do not believe there will be any type of problem to reach an agreement."
The centre-back said he had already received "almost everything" from Madrid since joining back in 2005.
"Sincerely, this is the least of my worries," he said. "My agent is there for that, to communicate with the club. I have a few years left on my contract, and my intention is to stay at the team that has given me almost everything."
The 28-year-old, who has already won every available trophy for club and country except the World Club Cup, opened the scoring in Tuesday's semifinal but had to be replaced during the second half as he picked up a thigh injury.
Nonetheless, he said he expected to be available for Saturday's Club World Cup final against either San Lorenzo or Auckland City.
"I am not in too much discomfort and we hope it isn't anything serious," he said. "They are going to take a look at it tomorrow and see how I am feeling then. I hope to play in the final."
He added: "On a personal level, I cannot complain. I am very happy to be able to contribute to the team with another goal in a semifinal. This is the only competition I have left to win. I hope to do that -- then it is 'game over' and begin again."
