Portuguese manager Pedro Caixinha has been named the new head coach at Cruz Azul, following a mixed spell at Scottish giants Rangers.
Caixinha replaces Spaniard Paco Jemez, who guided the team to the playoffs for the first time in three years.
Caixinha was a surprise choice at Rangers last March, but the 47-year-old only lasted until October before being let go.

The Portuguese coach had a successful stint in Mexico from 2012 with Santos Laguna, in which he won the Liga MX, Copa MX and the Campeon de Campeones, as well as being named coach of the season in the 2015 Clausura.
Cruz Azul -- considered one of Mexico's "big four" clubs -- is without a first-division title in 20 years.
