Queens Park Rangers midfielder Leroy Fer will likely be out 8-10 weeks with an MCL injury to his left knee, the team announced on their website Wednesday.
The Netherlands international was taken off on a stretcher in the 75th minute of QPR's 2-0 victory over Sunderland on Tuesday night, a game in which he opened the scoring in the 17th minute.

The win was QPR's first away from home in the Premier League this season.
Fer moved to London from Norwich for a reported eight million pounds in August of last year, and contributed four goals and two assists in 24 Premier League appearance this campaign.
