Six PSV Eindhoven fans arrested in Madrid following Atletico loss

MADRID -- Spanish police have arrested six supporters of Dutch football club PSV Eindhoven for destroying public furniture and hurting passersby following their side's loss to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Police told The Associated Press that the six supporters all of Dutch nationality were arrested late Tuesday on a street in the center of Madrid.

The charges include public disorder, destroying public property, inflicting bodily harm to others, and resisting arrest. The police spokesman spoke under anonymity in accordance with police policy.

Atletico won the round-of-16 second-leg match in a penalty shootout.
