Helder Postiga, Jose Bosingwa recalled for Portugal vs. Armenia, Argentina

LISBON -- Portugal coach Fernando Santos keeps makeover of the national squad continued as he handed two players their first call-ups and brought back two veterans for the European Championship qualifier against Armenia next week and a friendly against Argentina.

Santos took charge six weeks ago, when Paulo Bento departed after a home defeat against Albania in the opening Euro 2016 qualifier.

Santos called up five new players and several overlooked veterans, and got the qualifying campaign back on track last month with a 1-0 win in Denmark.

For this month's games, defenders Tiago Gomes and Raphael Guerreiro are included for the first time. Striker Helder Postiga and defender Jose Bosingwa, both in their 30s, have returned.

Portugal play Armenia on Nov. 14 and meets Argentina in Manchester, England four days later.
