Robert Lewandowski stars in Poland's 23-man squad for Euro 2016

Poland coach Adam Nawalka has confirmed his 23-man squad for Euro 2016, with Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski among the players set to feature at the tournament.

Lewandowski, 27, heads into the this summer's European Championship in France after an incredible season with Bayern, having finished as the Bundesliga's top scorer with 30 goals.

"The challenge is great but we're ready to take it up," Nawalka said ahead of Poland's campaign which will see them take on Northern Ireland, Germany and Ukraine.

Goalkeeper Przemyslaw Tyton, forward Artur Sobiech, defender Pawel Dawidowicz and full-back Maciej Rybus were cut from Poland's provisional squad.

"I would like to thank Przemek, Pawel and Artur for having been with us," Nawalka said. "I hope they will have their fingers crossed for the team. We worked hard during our two training camps in Poland."

Poland take on Netherlands and Lithuania in friendlies on June 1 and June 6 respectively before getting their Euro 2016 campaign under way against Northern Ireland on June 12.

Midfielders: Jakub Blaszczykowski (Fiorentina), Kamil Grosicki (Rennes), Tomasz Jodlowiec (Legia Warsaw), Bartosz Kapustka (Cracovia), Grzegorz Krychowiak (Sevilla), Karol Linetty (Lech Poznan), Krzysztof Maczynski (Wisla), Slawomir Peszko (Lechia Gdansk), Filip Starzynski (Zaglebie Lubin), Piotr Zielinski (Empoli).
