England trio back for City ahead of Chelsea clash

Manchester City

Delph joins Everton from Manchester City

Brian McBride discusses Everton's transfer needs and says a 'standout striker' like Moise Kean could help the Toffees into the top six.

Everton have signed England international midfielder Fabian Delph on a three-year deal from Premier League champions Manchester City, they announced on Monday.

The 29-year-old, who has made 20 appearances for England, became surplus to requirements at City after they recently signed Spanish midfielder Rodri in a club record deal from Atletico Madrid.

Sources: City would part ways with Delph for £15m

Manchester City will sell Fabian Delph if they get the right price for the England international, sources have told ESPN FC.

City would expect to receive about £15 million for the former Leeds United and Aston Villa midfielder and won't stand in his way if he decides to leave.

Delph, 29, will be in the final year of his contract next season and has fallen behind Oleksandr Zinchenko in the pecking order with the Ukrainian set to be offered a new deal.

Fabian Delph 2/10, Raheem Sterling 4/10 as Man City lose second straight vs. Leicester

A thunderous strike from Leicester City's Ricardo Pereira condemned Manchester City to consecutive league defeats for the first time since 2016.

Manchester City fell further behind in the title race after a 2-1 defeat at Leicester City. Bernardo Silva fired them into a 14th-minute lead, but Marc Albrighton headed the home side level before Ricardo Pereira's stunning 81st-minute winner. Pep Guardiola's side have now slipped to third in the Premier League, seven points behind leaders Liverpool after back-to-back defeats.

It could have been far worse had City buckled in a torrid 10 minutes before half-time. Leicester piled...

Fabian Delph epitomises flat Man City performance in loss to Lyon

If the result of Manchester City's 2-1 Champions League group-stage defeat to Lyon at home is a shock, then the performance of the hosts was even more surprising. The boos at full-time told the story: City didn't show up for 60 minutes and Lyon were able to keep the home side at arm's length for the duration. With Pep Guardiola watching from the stands, Mikel Arteta's test as his stead in didn't get off the ground.

There's very little positive to take from the game, beyond there being...

England World Cup camp 'like lads' holiday' - Fabian Delph

After being named ESPN's Greatest Sporting City for 2018, find out what makes Manchester a great place for sport.

Manchester City's Fabian Delph has said coming back from the World Cup was a "massive comedown" and likened the England camp to a "lads' holiday."

Gareth Southgate's side reached the semifinals in Russia, which was England's best performance at a World Cup for 28 years -- and Delph believes the spirit in the camp was a huge factor in their positive display.

"We spent so much time together in Russia it felt strange the first week being back home," he told talkSPORT. "It was a massive comedown.

Manchester City's Vincent Kompany, Kyle Walker cut short holidays to make Community Shield return

Vincent Kompany, Kyle Walker and Fabian Delph have all cut short their holidays to return to training early on Wednesday at Manchester City, but are unlikely to start in Sunday's Community Shield game against Chelsea.

Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and John Stones will be the last players to come back, with their returns on Monday coming less than a week before the Premier League opener at Arsenal.

Belgium midfielder De Bruyne is expected at Wembley on Sunday to watch his teammates, according...
