Commons' new Celtic contract 'a massive relief'

Attacking midfielder Kris Commons has started all of Celtic's matches in 2015.

Kris Commons admits the end of his contract stalemate is a huge relief after Celtic finally gave him the two-year contract he craved.

Commons looked set to move on amid interest from Bolton and his former boss, Neil Lennon, when he threw his boots to the Celtic fans after a 2-0 win at Hamilton on Jan. 17.

But he has become an increasingly central player for manager Ronny Deila in recent weeks and no move materialised ahead of the transfer deadline on Monday night.
