Tottenham's Georges-Kevin Nkoudou joins Burnley on loan

Tottenham winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou has joined Burnley on loan for the rest of the season.

Sources had earlier told ESPN FC that Spurs want the French winger, 22, to gain Premier League experience and the deal will not include the option to make the transfer permanent in the summer.

Nkoudou said he had spoken to Spurs teammate Kieran Trippier, who joined from Burnley in 2015, about life at Turf Moor.

""When I spoke with Trippier he told me good things about this club, about the players and everything...

Fernando Llorente, Georges-Kevin N'Koudou, Juan Foyth give Spurs depth

LONDON -- Ahead of Tottenham's meaningless Champions League game against Apoel Nicosia on Wednesday, with top spot already assured, Mauricio Pochettino called on his squad players to prove they are worthy of a place in his best XI.

The manager will not have been disappointed after backup striker Fernando Llorente and young winger Georges-Kevin N'Koudou scored their first goals for the club in a 3-0 win, while teenage defender Juan Foyth impressed at the back.

With Spurs' squad likely to be stretched...

African players with a point to prove in the League Cup this week

This week's League Cup fixtures offer an opportunity for Premier League managers to shuffle their teams and give some of their fringe players a run out.

Various African stars have been struggling to get adequate gametime in the top flight this term, and this quintet will surely be keen to prove a point if they get handed an opportunity to impress this week.

Sissoko, Lamela and Janssen can boost transfer-hungry Spurs

With days to go until the big kickoff, the meltdown is here. A fortnight ago, most Tottenham fans were relaxed about the club's reluctance to enter the transfer market madness, wearing the club's restraint as a badge of honour.

But now they are getting twitchy. Spurs are the only top-flight club yet to make a summer signing and they are relying on last season's stars to continue where they left off.

But manager Mauricio Pochettino will also be hoping that some of his squad players can, to use the...

Tottenham gamble by being so patient in the transfer window

Spurs correspondent Dan Kilpatrick explains why Tottenham are unlikely to spend big in the summer window.

This was the moment last year when suspicions about certain players' futures were confirmed.

As Tottenham's squad headed off to Sydney to take part in the International Champions Cup (ICC), Nabil Bentaleb, Federico Fazio, Alex Pritchard and Clinton Njie were all left behind.

Mauricio Pochettino soon announced that while Njie had picked up an injury, "the situation of the other three players... is very clear. They are not in my plans and they know". In the end, Njie was discarded as well.

Five players who could leave Tottenham, including Walker, Sissoko, Janssen

Mauricio Pochettino has described Tottenham Hotspur as the "top trending" club in the Premier League for transfer rumours and, sure enough, less than a week after the end of the season, there is lots of speculation about the future of several stars.

Pochettino and his chairman Daniel Levy say Spurs will not sell any players they don't want to, but the manager has admitted that there will be the usual comings and goings this summer.
