Daniel Steres, center, is out for up to two months for the LA Galaxy with a stress fracture in his lower back.

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Galaxy will be without defender Daniel Steres for up to two months after he suffered a stress fracture in his lower back.

The Galaxy announced Tuesday that Steres will miss six to eight weeks with a transverse process fracture. The timetable means Steres may not make it back before the end of the MLS regular season.
