USWNT star Alex Morgan plans on '20 Games after giving birth

New USWNT coach Vlatko Andonovski addresses the pressure of coaching the two-time reigning World Cup winners.

United States star Alex Morgan said she plans to play in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo despite the due date of her first child.

Morgan is expecting a baby girl in April, approximately three months before the start of the Olympics.

"I hope to get back on the field as soon as possible," Morgan told USA Today. "After having a healthy baby, I want to get back with the national team and look forward to playing in Tokyo."

United States national team star Megan Rapinoe claimed FIFA's The Best award, which is given to the top women's player, at a ceremony in Milan on Monday.

Rapinoe, 34, led the U.S. to their fourth World Cup title this summer in France. She won the Golden Ball award for best player at the tournament and the Golden Boot for most goals (six).

U.S. star Morgan out for rest of NWSL season

Alex Morgan will miss the rest of the NWSL season for the Orlando Pride due to a patella stress reaction in her right knee.

Morgan was injured while on duty with the U.S. national team, which won the Women's World Cup in France this summer, the Pride said.

Morgan appeared in six matches for the National Women's Soccer League team this season, four before the World Cup and two since.
