With Chelsea on the outside looking in when it comes to the UCL next season, the FC crew examine who's to blame for their underwhelming campaign.

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has apologised for his furious reaction to being substituted in Thursday's 2-1 win over Burnley.

Morata was visibly angry when coach Antonio Conte withdrew him on 71 minutes, shouting and gesticulating at Burnley supporters behind the dugout before throwing his boots to the floor.

But Morata took to Twitter to explain after the game, saying he was still frustrated after failing to find the net in a gilt-edged chance shortly before Burnley levelled the score at...

Chelsea made the most of Tottenham's draw against Brighton and are now five points away from a Champions League position with four games to play.

Chelsea edged out Burnley 2-1 in a highly entertaining game of football at Turf Moor. The Blues always held the upper hand in respect to possession and it was no surprise when they took the lead in the 20th minute, Kevin Long putting through his own goal via a Victor Moses cross. The Clarets had no intention of lying down though and battled back to level somewhat fortunately, when Ashley Barnes deflected a speculative shot from Johann Berg Gudmundsson past Thibaut Courtois. The game was won five...

Paul Pogba, Alvaro Morata returns to Juventus would be 'exceptions' to policy - chief

The ESPN FC panel answer your tweets on Paul Pogba's future at Manchester United and the argument for sacking Ernesto Valverde.
Jose Mourinho was asked to rate Paul Pogba and respond to Paul Scholes' scathing criticism of the Frenchman after the West Brom match.
The ESPN FC guys debate whether Alvaro Morata is overrated or just a bad fit for Chelsea.

Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta told Mediaset his club cannot afford to buy back Paul Pogba or Alvaro Morata but said "there are also exceptions."

Pogba is reportedly unsettled at Manchester United and Morata has not had the expected impact since joining Chelsea during the summer.

Both are highly regarded in Turin and would be welcomed back with open arms, although Marotta said their price tags are likely beyond his club's budget.

"I don't really believe in players coming back after having...

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata: I should have rested back problem earlier

The ESPN FC guys debate whether Alvaro Morata is overrated or just a bad fit for Chelsea.
The FC crew believe Chelsea's lack of leadership and inability to fight back were exposed again in their loss against Tottenham.

Alvaro Morata believes he should have taken an earlier break to aid his recovery from the lingering back injury that hampered part of his debut season at Chelsea.

Spain international Morata scored seven goals in his first seven appearances for the club, but his form tailed off badly from October until mid-January, with a return of five goals in 22 matches.

Following his sending off in Chelsea's extra-time FA Cup victory over Norwich City in January, Morata did not feature for almost a month as he...
