West Ham United midfielder Manuel Lanzini dismissed reports that he will miss the entire 2018-19 season due to a knee injury, with the Argentina international saying he expects to return to action early next year.

Enzo Perez replaces Manuel Lanzini in Argentina World Cup squad

Argentina have called up River Plate midfielder Enzo Perez as a last-minute replacement for injured Manuel Lanzini, the Argentine Football Association said on Saturday.

The 32-year-old, a former Valencia and Benfica player, has 23 caps, the last of which he won last year.

West Ham's Manuel Lanzini has been given a two-game ban after being found guilty of diving to win a penalty against Stoke on Saturday, the Football Association has announced.
