Transfer Rater: Fabinho to Man City

Transfer Rater: James to join Liverpool

Carrick, Fellaini, Darmian, Blind and Shaw could face Man United exit

With Jose Mourinho planning a summer overhaul at Old Trafford, Craig Burley examines the futures of 10 Manchester United players.
With Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho reportedly not on speaking terms, the FC crew assess the Frenchman's future at Man United and whether he has been misjudged at Old Trafford.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic announced his departure from Manchester United last week and he is likely to be followed through the Old Trafford exit by a number of others this summer.

Jose Mourinho could still end the season with the FA Cup, but he has come up short in the Premier League and the Champions League. The United manager is set to reshape his squad ahead of next season with the aim of wrestling the title back from Manchester City and making progress in Europe.

The new additions -- likely...

Daley Blind dropped from Netherlands squad as Ronald Koeman adds newcomers

Ronald Koeman
Ronald Koeman was appointed head coach of the Netherlands squad in February 2018.

Manchester United's Daley Blind was not included in the final Netherlands squad for this month's friendlies in England and Portugal as new coach Ronald Koeman named five uncapped players.

Blind had been named to the 33-man preliminary squad earlier this month but was omitted from the 25-man squad revealed on Friday, as were Wolfsburg's Jeffrey Bruma and PSV's Luuk de Jong.

Blind has only started three games for United this season and has not played at all since suffering an ankle injury in...

Manchester United's Daley Blind to Roma is 'very difficult' - Danny Blind

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho wants to keep Daley Blind until the end of the season despite interest from Roma, according to the Dutchman's father Danny Blind.

Blind has been linked with a deadline day move to Italy after being restricted to just three Premier League starts so far this season.

The 27-year-old has not travelled to London for Wednesday night's clash with Tottenham at Wembley while he continues his recovery from an ankle ligament injury.

"Time is running out because it's...

Daley Blind to consider Manchester United future in summer - sources

ESPN FC's Steve Nicol goes player-by-player to determine who should remain and who should depart Manchester United's back line.
The FC crew discuss the developing feud between Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte, which escalated with Mourinho's match-fixing comment.

Daley Blind will consider his options at the end of the season if his first team prospects at Manchester United do not improve, sources have told ESPN FC.

Blind, 27, has not started a Premier League game since August after falling behind Ashley Young and Luke Shaw in the pecking order at left-back.

He started the 2-0 win over Derby County on Friday at centre-back, but manager Jose Mourinho has usually preferred Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Victor Lindelof or, when fit, Eric Bailly in...

Premier League defending isn't worse, as Ferdinand says: it's just evolving

ESPN's Mark Ogden believes Virgil van Dijk can have the same impact on Liverpool that Rio Ferdinand had for Manchester United.

It's hardly surprising to discover a former professional footballer suggesting that standards have slipped since his day, but there was plenty of truth in Rio Ferdinand's recent suggestion that centre-backs are no longer as defensively solid. It's a common refrain from both former defenders and former attackers: ex-defenders complain that skills simply aren't valued any more, while former forwards boast that they would score a colossal amount of goals in the modern era with such poor defending....

Manchester United staying upbeat despite Basel UCL setback - Blind

Daley Blind has said Manchester United's confidence will not be knocked by their last-gasp Champions League defeat at Basel.

United missed the chance to secure top spot in their group and book a place in the knockout stages after a shock 1-0 defeat at St Jakob-Park.

Jose Mourinho's team are still on course to qualify, and it would take a heavy defeat in their final game against CSKA Moscow to stop them.

Blind admitted the result in Switzerland was a blow, but said United would bounce back quickly.
