Wayne Rooney, Everton lack ambition, creativity again vs. Swansea

A campaign that began with genuine hopes of progress is instead ending with Everton manager Sam Allardyce lauding the mediocre, describing a 1-1 draw at Swansea on Saturday as a "great point."

This pitiful embrace of mediocrity is turning a storied club into an irrelevance. There is no scenario in which settling for a point against the team fourth from bottom in the league is acceptable. Yet here was Allardyce going one step further and actively protecting a point, introducing centre-back Ramiro...

Could Everton's Yannick Bolasie add style to Sam Allardyce's steel?

Everton's revival under Sam Allardyce continued on Wednesday with a workmanlike, and at times fortunate, 1-0 victory over Newcastle United that had all the hallmarks of 'Big Sam's' teams.

The Merseysiders were organised in defence, worked hard for each other, were cynical in their timewasting at times, and took one of the few chances they created as a rejuvenated Wayne Rooney took his Premier League tally for the season to nine goals.

Everton boost as Yannick Bolasie back in training after knee injury

Yannick Bolasie trained with his Everton teammates on Wednesday as the winger stepped up his rehabilitation from a long-term knee injury.

The session at Finch Farm, ahead of Thursday's Europa League clash with Atalanta, saw Bolasie training with the senior squad for the first time since sustaining anterior cruciate ligament damage to his right knee on Dec. 4 last year.

Club captain Phil Jagielka and fellow defender Mason Holgate were notable absentees from the session, along with midfielder Morgan...

Bolasie receives hero's welcome in Tanzania

Everton midfielder Yannick Bolasie was greeted with a hero's welcome when the Toffees touched down in Tanzania to start their pre-season.

The Toffees will play Kenyan opponents Gor Mahia on Thursday, making the event an especially African affair as Tanzanian supporters get the opportunity to meet some Premier League stars.

Bolasie is recovering from a serious knee injury and is unlikely to play again until Christmas but has travelled with the squad despite undergoing separate operations to repair...

Everton's Yannick Bolasie aiming to return to fitness for December

Everton winger Yannick Bolasie is still targeting a comeback from injury before the end of 2017 and is confident he will return a better player.

Bolasie, 28, has been out of action since sustaining knee damage in December, having had two operations to repair his meniscus and then cruciate ligament.

The DR Congo international, who moved to Goodison Park from Crystal Palace last summer, is now rehabilitating in Bristol and says that, when he does pull on a blue shirt again, he will be an improved...

Everton's Yannick Bolasie talks mind games, injury woes and Wilfried Zaha

LIVERPOOL -- Things have not been easy for Everton winger Yannick Bolasie. The DR Congo international joined the club from Crystal Palace for around £25 million last summer but ruptured his cruciate knee ligament in December and has been ruled out for a year.

At a cooking challenge to celebrate Songkran, the Thai New Year's festival, in association with Everton sponsor Chang, Bolasie talked to ESPN FC about the challenges he has had to face.

Q. This is obviously a testing time for you with...
