Seedorf reveals latest Cameroon captain as rotation continues

Clarence Seedorf has revealed that Georges Mandjeck will captain Cameroon when they meet Malawi in Tuesday's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Blantyre.

The decision, while enforced by the injury absence of stand-in captain Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, will make Mandjeck the third captain of the Dutchman's three-game tenure in charge of the AFCON hosts.

"I am just confirming what I said in the last conference that for every match we will see a change in captain" Seedorf told the Cameroon federation...

Cameroon avoid late Comoros humiliation on Clarence Seedorf's debut

Stephane Bahoken netted an 80th-minute equaliser to save Cameroon from a humiliating defeat in the Comoros on Saturday, as Clarence Seedorf marked his Indomitable Lions managerial debut with an uninspired 1-1 draw.

The reigning African champions, who are currently set to host next year's Africa Cup of Nations, fell behind in the 15th minute when El-Fardou Ben Mohamed opened the scoring.

The Red Star Belgrade forward put the hosts into an unlikely lead following some excellent work out wide from...

Clarence Seedorf's first Cameroon squad shows new man is out of touch

Whoever Cameroon appointed as Hugo Broos's long-term successor was always facing a tough job to prepare the Indomitable Lions for the defence of their Africa Cup of Nations title on home soil next year.

They ultimately plumped for former Netherlands international Clarence Seedorf, whose stellar playing career hasn't quite dispelled the sense that his lack of tangible success as a coach makes him a significant gamble.

The Cameroon Football Federation aren't the first African FA to be seduced by a...

The arrival of Clarence Seedorf and his assistant Patrick Kluivert in Cameroon to begin their tenure as coach and assistant respectively of the Indomitable Lions marks a renewal of a 30-year span of coaches from the Netherlands taking charge of African national teams.

The pair signed four-year deals, which include the proviso that they live in Cameroon, and have been tasked with ensuring Cameroon win the 2019 African Nations Cup on home soil, and qualify for both the 2021 edition and the next World...

Cameroon appoint Clarence Seedorf as manager, Patrick Kluivert as assistant - reports

Former Dutch international midfielder Clarence Seedorf has been unveiled as the new coach of Cameroon and will be assisted by former teammate and compatriot Patrick Kluivert, according to local reports.

The duo's appointment was announced by Cameroon's Minister of Sport and Physical Education, Pierre Ismael Bidoung Mkpatt, at a news conference on Saturday and comes after talks with former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson failed to reach an agreement.

Cameroon considering Seedorf-Kluivert double act

Dutch duo Clarence Seedorf and Patrick Kluivert are being considered by the Cameroon Football Federation as potential successors to Hugo Broos, according to a source within the country's sports ministry.

The Indomitable Lions, who are reigning African champions after winning the African Cup of Nations in 2017, have been without a permanent head coach since December after parting ways with Belgian boss Hugo Broos.

They're currently being led by interim boss Alexandre Belinga, but are without a permanent...
