"Not knowing when I can return [to play] gives me anxiety," Neymar published on his official website. "I really miss playing, competing, to be in the club environment with my PSG teammates.

"I really miss football. I'm sure the fans also wants to see everyone back on the pitch as soon as possible. I hope the decision comes out as soon as possible."

Neymar's last game was the 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League round-of-16 clash on March 11.

Two days later, French football's top two leagues were suspended indefinitely due to the global outbreak.

France's Professional Football League [LFP] has outlined plans for Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 to resume on June 17 with the aim of completing the 2019-20 campaign by July 25.

France has among the highest number of coronavirus infections in the world with 159,877 confirmed cases reported and 21,340 deaths as of April 23, 2020.

Neymar, 28, is spending time in his luxury villa in Mangaratiba, a coastal town south of Rio de Janeiro, while in lockdown.

The Brazil international is sharing his workouts that are prepared by physical trainer Ricardo Rosa with Palmeiras midfielder and friend Lucas Lima.

"I'm happy to train with Rica [Rosa] and with Neymar," Lima said. "The two are high level professionals and it certainly will also help me to return to play with a good rhythm."
