PARIS -- Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel has expressed his hope that the French champions are not finished with this summer's transfer window but also admitted there is a "money issue" that is outside of his remit.
Speaking with journalists at Camp des Loges on Friday ahead of Saturday's Ligue 1 clash with Angers at Parc des Princes, the German tactician confessed that he still feels that his squad lacks players in one or two areas.
"I hope that our transfer window is not closed," Tuchel said. "We need players in a few positions. I trust the club and our sporting director [Antero Henrique] to find solutions.
"€50 million on one player is a lot of money. Still, it is a money issue and I do not know more than that."
In their search for a left-back, PSG have identified Atletico Madrid's Filipe Luis as their lead candidate at this late stage.
However, contacts have existed for some time with Tottenham Hotspur's Danny Rose, who could arrive on a season-long loan with Spurs happy to let him go.
"I will not comment on rumours," Tuchel replied when questioned about the England international. "I will simply say that I recall coming up against Tottenham three years ago.
"They had Kyle Walker on one side and Danny on the other. It was complicated to plan how to combat them -- it took me three days to figure it out."
PSG are still negotiating with Valencia for Goncalo Guedes and Tuchel has admitted that he possesses a big squad.
However, the former Borussia Dortmund and Mainz boss explained that he is enjoying being in such a luxurious position and the selection headaches that come with it.
"There are a lot of players in the squad, but I like that," said Tuchel. "It is my job to make complicated decisions and I relish that. It is inevitable that there will be disappointed players fighting for a place."
Tuchel also said Alphonse Areola will start in goal for the next two games to give Gianluigi Buffon a longer rest before the international break.
