Neymar happy at Paris-Saint Germain, insists close friend Leo Baptistao

Espanyol striker and close friend of Neymar, Leo Baptistao, says the Brazilian is happy at Paris Saint-Germain despite speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

Baptistao, 25, is in regular contact with his compatriot and, speaking at a news conference, he insisted Neymar is content with life in France.

"I often speak with Neymar but not about football," Baptistao said. "However, I can assure you that he is happy with PSG.

"Neymar is good there, with his friends and family -- I cannot imagine him anywhere other than Paris."

Neymar was recently whistled by PSG supporters during an 8-0 thrashing of Dijon for denying Edinson Cavani the chance to score a club-record 157th goal from the penalty spot.

But Nice defender Dante, who has appeared alongside the 25-year-old for Brazil, has also dismissed rumours that he is unhappy.

Speaking with RMC Sport, Dante stressed that Neymar was not "upset" nor "bitter."

"I do not think that it was fair play from the supporters, really," he said. "A few of them thought that Neymar was selfish but that is not a valid reason to whistle.

"He is wearing the team's colours, so he must be supported. It is something that needs to be handled in the dressing room -- it is a shame.

"I do not think that Neymar was upset. He is not bitter. He needs support. He has come to Paris to create something beautiful, not for this sort of thing."

Neymar could return to the PSG squad to face Montpellier on Saturday after missing the 2-1 Ligue 1 defeat at Lyon last Sunday and the 4-2 Coupe de France win over Guingamp in midweek.
