PSG to be without Angel Di Maria and Javier Pastore at Celtic

GLASGOW, Scotland -- Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani are available to Paris Saint-Germain coach Unai Emery as the Champions League Group B campaign begins against Celtic on Tuesday.

However, PSG will be without Angel Di Maria and Javier Pastore at Celtic Park after the pair of Argentina internationals were left out of the squad for the clash with the Bhoys.

Marco Verratti is only suspended domestically, so the Italy international midfielder is available to Emery once again but the Spaniard's midfield options have been lessened.

Di Maria, 29, and Pastore, 28, both reported back from recent international duty in South America with injury issues.

Di Maria is expected to miss at least the next fortnight with a left thigh problem but Pastore's concern has not been made public yet -- amid fears that the Albiceleste star's chronic muscular niggles from last season have returned.

Aside from Di Maria and Pastore, Emery has a full-strength squad to choose from after Mbappe made his PSG debut in last week's flattering 5-1 win away at FC Metz.

The France international scored one goal and assisted another with Neymar and Cavani also getting in on the act at Stade Saint-Symphorien and the trio are expected to feature as a front three in Scotland after Emery switched to a 4-2-3-1 in Metz.

Kevin Trapp could be preferred to Alphonse Areola in goal against Celtic but both shot-stoppers have travelled with the squad, while Verratti should join Thiago Motta and Adrien Rabiot in a three-man midfield unit.

Hatem Ben Arfa is ineligible for Champions League football and is currently training with the reserves, while Alec Georgen, Lorenzo Callegari, Antoine Bernede and Moussa Diaby have all been selected for UEFA Youth League action this week.
