Paris Saint-Germain end Ultras season ticket restriction after seven years

Ultras were banned from the Auteuil end for seven years.

PARIS -- An agreement between Paris Saint-Germain and the Collectif Ultras Paris (CUP) fan group means the club's Ultras will again be allowed to hold season tickets together in the Auteuil end of the Parc des Princes.

Ultras were banned from the Auteuil end for seven years under a plan introduced by former president Robin Leproux to end intra-fan violence, with the ban being ended last season.

But they were still unable to hold season tickets together and some, including CUP chief Romain Mabille, remained barred.

That ban has now been ended, and a CUP statement said: "Symbolically, PSG now recognises their Ultras, banned under Plan Leproux, not as new season ticket holders but as season ticket holders who never stopped being that.

"For the first time in years, an official band of supporters will be able to congregate at Parc des Princes."

The move came as RMC reported the departure of Jean-Philippe d'Hallivilee, the club's long-serving security chief, after 20 years.
