Arsenal's Arsene Wenger will not join Paris Saint-Germain - Patrick Kluivert

Paris Saint-Germain director of football Patrick Kluivert has rubbished speculation that Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger could join the French champions in the near future.

Speaking with France 3 television shortly after watching his team beat semi-professional Avranches 4-0 at Caen's Stade Michel d'Ornano to reach the Coupe de France semifinals, the legendary former Netherlands international made it clear that the French tactician will not come.

"Wenger at PSG? This is false," stated Kluivert. "Not true. There is a zero percent chance that this will happen."

The former Barcelona and Ajax Amsterdam man then revealed his satisfaction at the victory over Avranches.

"We are very happy," Kluivert admitted. "We put in a good performance. The result was the most important thing."

Speaking with Eurosport France after the final whistle, coach Unai Emery was full of praise for Avranches for making it a difficult cup tie.

"Congratulations to Avranches, they deserved to play against us in these quarterfinals," Emery said. "In the first half, they showed a lot of desire because of the atmosphere created by their supporters. We scored and that made a big difference. We did not play as we wanted to.

"In the second half, we improved and controlled the game more. The result was logical. We deserved to win 4-0 because we played well in the second half but credit to Avranches all the same."

After the match, PSG were drawn at home to AS Monaco in the semifinals just days after thumping Leonardo Jardim's men 4-1 to lift a fourth consecutive Coupe de la Ligue trophy.

Emery is looking forward to another prestigious showdown and wants a repeat of last Saturday's demolition job before meeting one of Guingamp or Angers in the final.

"PSG-Monaco will be a very nice semifinal," Emery said. "We want to repeat last Saturday's match.

"This semi in Paris will be beautiful. We want to enjoy a good run in this competition. We want to make the most of this with our fans and defend our title.

"Aside from the semi against Monaco, Guingamp and Angers also deserve to be there. These will be two good Coupe de France clashes."
