Marquinhos, Grzegorz Krychowiak miss Coupe de la Ligue final

Paris Saint-Germain coach Unai Emery has said defender Marquinhos and midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak will miss Saturday's Coupe de la Ligue final against Monaco.

Speaking at his prematch news conference in Lyon, Emery said both were unavailable after suffering knocks during the international break.

"The players missing from training were Marquinhos, who has returned from international duty, and Grzegorz who is injured," he said.

"We will assess all of the players who played international matches on Tuesday particularly carefully. I hope that they will be fine."

With Marquinhos out, Presnel Kimpembe is expected to partner captain Thiago Silva in central defence despite not being fully fit himself.

But Emery said he had full confidence that his 22-man squad could cope without their missing colleagues.

"This team, these players and myself, we are used to playing a lot of matches," he added.

"We have players accustomed to international breaks, who know how to play in an important game afterwards.

"We have a few injured because they have played many matches. This is not an excuse for those who will play tomorrow -- they will be ready and will want to win."
