Grzegorz Krychowiak is wasting his time at PSG - Nantes chief

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak is wasting his time with the French champions, according to FC Nantes president Waldemar Kita.

The Poland international has failed to break into Unai Emery's starting XI at Parc des Princes since following the Spaniard from Sevilla to the Ligue 1 giants but featured as a late substitute in the 6-1 Champions League defeat away at Barcelona on Wednesday.

Speaking with Przeglad Sportowy in Poland, Kita admitted his interest in Krychowiak and his belief that the 27-year-old is wasting his time in Paris.

"Grzegorz does not need to sit on PSG's bench," Kita said. "He should come to Nantes.

"I do not know if he would like to come because he has his ambitions but I have been thinking about loaning him, even back in January. I have got great relations with PSG.

"Grzegorz made one mistake and he was benched but that is life. He is wasting his time -- it is better to come to play in Nantes than to sit on the PSG bench.

"In my opinion, right now it would be hard for him to come back to play for smaller team. However, as I always say, you either are the locomotive or a carriage. I am sure that in Nantes, Grzegorz would be the locomotive."

Krychowiak has played with PSG's reserve team twice in recent weeks to continue his recovery from a knee injury suffered at the start 2017.
