PSG's Lucas Moura lauds 'symbolic goal' with Thiago Silva

Paris Saint-Germain wide man Lucas Moura was happy with the French champions' 2-0 win over Angers in Ligue 1 on Wednesday and even more pleased that he was able to assist captain Thiago Silva's opener in a "100 percent Brazilian goal" on a "special night" for the team.

A plane carrying members of Brazilian side Chapecoense crashed into a Colombian hillside en route to the biggest match in the club's history, tragically killing 71 and leaving only six survivors on Tuesday. PSG have a large Brazilian contingent and Lucas admitted "the past two days have not been easy" when speaking with reporters after the match.

"I had friends in that team, it is very tough," the 24-year-old added. "But we have to keep going, do what we can to help the families of the victims. During moments like these, you have to think about what is important, your family and friends.

"Thiago's goal? We spoke this week about how it was a long time since we had scored from a corner. Tonight we did. A goal made in Brazil, a very symbolic goal."

PSG coach Unai Emery was "very happy" with the three points and hailed another "important" clean sheet.

"It is important for the future," the Spaniard added. "We want to play well at home in front of our fans. I think we played well tonight, against a very compact, defensive opponent. We needed to be patient. When we opened the scoring, that made things easier, the match opened up a little.

"The tactics? I think the team knows how to adapt to the opposition and to the players we have available."

Grzegorz Krychowiak earned a rare start in midfield and the Poland international "felt good out there" as he played the full 90 minutes.

"As a team, we played well for the full 90 minutes," he said. "Even if we dropped the intensity a little in the second half, we deserved the win.

"We kept another clean sheet and it is important to stay solid at the back. We have been defending very well for a while now. We have to keep working, which is what we are doing."

Emery was also able to hand a debut to youth academy graduate Lorenzo Callegari. The 18-year-old midfielder was given three minutes at the end to impress and admitted his "heart was definitely beating hard" when he took his first few steps onto the Parc des Princes turf.

"I am very happy to have come on this evening, especially since I came through the club's youth academy and tonight was my debut," said the youngster. "The coach just asked me to play, to enjoy myself. The whole team helped me settle very quickly."
