PSG without Serge Aurier, Layvin Kurzawa, Marco Verratti vs. Dijon

Paris Saint-Germain coach Unai Emery has confirmed Serge Aurier, Layvin Kurzawa and Marco Verratti will all miss Tuesday's Ligue 1 clash at home to Dijon through injury, while Hatem Ben Arfa has been left out again.

Aurier, Kurzawa and Verratti have all been deemed slightly too short of match fitness to participate as they recover from ankle and thigh issues respectively.

"Serge started training with the squad but did not complete the session," Emery told a news conference at Camp des Loges on Monday.

"Layvin finished the session but we preferred to leave the decision to the medical staff and the verdict was that he is not quite ready.

"As for Verratti, he trained with the squad but we will wait to see how the player progresses. For [Dijon], he is not in the squad."

As well as Aurier, Kurzawa and Verratti, Ben Arfa will also be absent for Tuesday's clash at Parc des Princes.

Ben Arfa has not featured since the 1-1 draw at home to Saint-Etienne and was dropped from Emery's squads for the 1-1 Champions League draw with Arsenal and the 6-0 thrashing of Caen last week.

Emery remains unapologetic over his treatment of Ben Arfa and insisted that his continued shunning of the 29-year-old is not personal.

"He is not in the squad," Emery said. "It is solely a sporting decision. We have players who are ready and I have picked the best for tomorrow's match."

There was good news elsewhere for PSG, though, with captain Thiago Silva and Javier Pastore fit to play on Tuesday.

Both were on the bench for the win at Caen but neither made an appearance at Stade Michel d'Ornano as Emery takes care to not rush them back to action too quickly.

"He is fine. He is an important player with lots of experience," Emery said when questioned about Silva. "He is ready to play [against Dijon].

"Pastore was in the squad last Friday, he did not play but he worked well. Today, he is still in the squad."

PSG host Dijon on Tuesday and travel to Toulouse on Friday before a Champions League trip to Bulgaria to face Ludogorets Razgrad next week.
