PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot plays down Zlatan Ibrahimovic spat

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot has played down his on-field confrontation with teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The pair exchanged words in Sunday's preseason friendly against Chelsea after Ibrahimovic, who had put PSG ahead in the first half, gave the ball away.

Rabiot told the club's official website: "With Ibra, we got a little bit heated on the field but we spoke about it in the dressing room.

"We put everything back in order, there were no worries. These things happen on the field. We laughed about it."

Chelsea eventually won the match in Charlotte on penalties after Victor Moses' second-half goal earned a 1-1 draw.

PSG's next match in the International Champions Cup sees them take on Manchester United on Thursday at Soldier Field, home of the NFL's Chicago Bears.

Rabiot said: "When I started my career, Manchester United were maybe the best team in Europe.

"They have had a more difficult period recently, but they remain a big club.

"We do not often get the opportunity to come to America. We play in great stadiums, like the one in Charlotte. The atmosphere is good and these will be great memories."
