PSG keeper Salvatore Sirigu vows Paris stay: 'My future is here'

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu insists he has no plans to leave the club and still feels "like a starter."

The Italian was restricted to a second-half substitute appearance in the Parisian club's 4-2 defeat of Fiorentina as German recruit Kevin Trapp once again started the game.

"Right now, my future is here," he told Gazzetta dello Sport. "Nobody has said anything to me.

"I am just concentrating on preparing myself and forcing myself into the thoughts of the coach and the club.

"I still feel like a starter, even if the decision could be otherwise. I will not throw these last four years down the toilet."

Meanwhile, new signing Benjamin Stambouli hailed an encouraging start to his PSG career after the game.

Just a day after his move from Premier League club Tottenham, the midfielder made his PSG debut as a second-half substitute in place of Blaise Matuidi.

Stambouli told the club's website: "My arrival has gone well, I had a day to get used to the team.

"Training went well this morning and I got a good half-hour in the game this evening. The style of play which is in place fits well with my game.

"It's a first win and we will try to get another on Saturday against Chelsea."

Matuidi opened the scoring in the International Champions Cup clash and star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic was also on target, his goal sandwiched by two from youngster Jean-Kevin Augustin.

Fiorentina's goals came from Joaquin and Giuseppe Rossi, the latter from a penalty.
