PSG take Zlatan Ibrahimovic ban appeal to France's Olympic Committee

Paris Saint-Germain have appealed to France's Olympic Committee (CNOSF) to reduce Zlatan Ibrahimovic's four-game domestic ban, according to Le Parisien.

Ibrahimovic, 33, was hit with a three-game suspension following an angry outburst at match officials after PSG's 3-2 loss at Bordeaux on March 15, and also saw a one-game suspended ban activated as a result of the incident.

The CNOSF will appoint a mediator, who will attempt to find a compromise between PSG and the French Football League (LFP).

That measure will temporarily lift Ibrahimovic's suspension, meaning the Swedish striker will be able to feature for PSG in their Ligue 1 game at Nice on Saturday.

Marseille made an identical move to PSG 24 hours earlier as they appealed to the CNOSF to look at Dimitri Payet's two-game ban following the France international midfielder's foul-mouthed tirade at match officials following OM's draw with Lyon, also on March 15.
