Blaise Matuidi's agent coy over potential Paris Saint-Germain exit

Mino Raiola has told Le Parisien that one-time Manchester United target Blaise Matuidi has not yet asked to leave Paris Saint-Germain, though suggested the France international may do so next summer.

Le Parisien reported on Friday that Matuidi, who turns 28 next month, wants to leave the French capital and make the short trip across the Channel to experience the Premier League.

Phil Neville revealed last month United had wanted to sign the former Saint-Etienne midfielder during David Moyes' short-lived tenure at Old Trafford.

However, Raiola, 47, says that Matuidi, who is a first-team regular under PSG coach Laurent Blanc, remains happy at the Parc des Princes for the time being.

"PSG don't want to sell him and for the moment, and I say again for the moment, Blaise has not asked to leave," he said.

"My work consists of staying vigilant. We signed a big contract last year, but no-one is resting on their laurels. Not Blaise, not me, not PSG. If things change between now and the summer, we'll look at it."

With last year's contract extension making him the best-paid midfielder in the PSG dressing-room at a monthly pre-tax salary of 770,000 euros, Matuidi's motivation for the switch is reportedly more based on sporting and personal grounds than financial ones.
