PSG's Edinson Cavani says he did not consider Premier League move

Paris Saint-Germain star Edinson Cavani has told Le Parisen he feels "at home" with the Ligue 1 champions, dismissing reports that he could have moved to the Premier League in the summer.

The Uruguay international has been struggling for his best form at a time when PSG are without the injured Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

But he responded by scoring the winner at Apoel Nicosia in the Champions League, and stressed that he had always felt comfortable in the French capital.

"Even when I have doubts in my head, I always arrive at the conclusion that I am happy at PSG," he added.

"The supporters and all the people at the club make me feel at home.

"In football, money is not the only motivation. Of course every player tries to find a more comfortable economic situation, but there is also the place, the club in which you play, which is important."

During the summer transfer window, both British and French media reported that Cavani was a target for Manchester United before they moved for Radamel Falcao.

But the former Napoli forward, who signed a five-year contract at the Parc des Princes after a reported French record 64 million euro move, dismissed suggestions he had considered crossing the Channel.

"I don't think I spoke about doing that, and nor did the president Al Khelaifi," he said. "All of that was the rumours which exist in football, like when I joined Napoli or PSG. Each time, a lot of things are said."

Meanwhile, Ibrahimovic -- out of action due to a heel injury -- has been described as "arrogant" by Gabriel Mudingayi, who played against him during a decade-long spell in Serie A with Torino, Lazio, Bologna and Inter Milan.

"He's a very arrogant bloke, and very strong physically," Mudingayi, who left Inter to join Spanish side Elche this summer, told Sport/Foot Magazine.

"I had to put in a lot of effort to counter him. He's also very nasty on the pitch, he's ready to do anything. He's a winner -- he has to be in the limelight."
