Zlatan Ibrahimovic ruled out for PSG with heel injury

PARIS -- Striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will miss Paris Saint-Germain's Ligue 1 match at Caen on Wednesday because of a left heel injury.

Tests on Tuesday revealed that Ibrahimovic, the club's leading scorer with five league goals, needs at least two days of rest.

PSG have a busy schedule and will need him to be fit for the match at Toulouse on Saturday and at home to Lionel Messi's Barcelona in the Champions League three days later.

The Ligue 1 champions have drawn their last three matches 1-1 and Ibrahimovic has not scored in those games. Altogether, PSG have drawn five of seven matches this season -- including a lacklustre 1-1 draw at Ajax last week -- and sit in fifth place in the division.

PSG are also without midfielder Marco Verratti, who is suspended.
