Lavezzi pleased with David Luiz signing

David Luiz, left, will join Ezequiel Lavezzi and Thiago Silva, right, at Paris Saint-Germain next season.

Ezequiel Lavezzi has hailed the arrival of David Luiz at Paris Saint-Germain and believes the Brazil international will fit in snugly at the Parc des Princes.

Luiz, 27, completed an estimated 50 million euro move from Chelsea to the French champions when the summer transfer window opened, fulfilling coach Laurent Blanc's desire to have a high-grade partner for Thiago Silva in central defence.

Further reinforcements are expected in the coming weeks, and Lavezzi, 29, feels his club have set a fine benchmark with the capture of Luiz.

"I am delighted with the arrival of David Luiz. It's with players like him, of a very high level, that Paris is going to grow. What counts is to keep all our good players, and to also take some very good ones. David Luiz, like others, is going to do PSG good. His experience will help us, and Thiago Silva will look after everything to help him settle in."
