Marquinhos to stay at PSG

Barcelona target Marquinhos has told French TV it is more likely he will remain with Paris Saint-Germain than move to the La Liga giants this summer.

The Brazilian centre-back, 20, signed a five-year deal with the French champions when he moved from Roma a year ago. Though Alex, who barred his route to the first team last season, has moved to AC Milan, Marquinhos now finds himself behind summer arrival David Luiz in the queue to partner Thiago Silva at the heart of Laurent Blanc's defence.

Barca had hoped to tempt him away from the Parc des Princes, particularly with Carles Puyol having retired. However, the youngster told TF1 his future remains in the hands of his club, who do not appear inclined to sell him.

"I have a contract. My future will, naturally, be decided by PSG. Right now, it is likely that I will stay. Nothing has been decided."
