Dybala will be better than Ronaldo, Messi and Zlatan, says Zamparini

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has put a 40 million-euro price tag on 20-year-old forward Paulo Dybala and said he will be a better player than Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi.

The Argentine has found the back of the net four times this season, and his stock has been on the rise since contributing to the Rosaneri's 2-0 win over AC Milan at the San Siro.

Zamparini has moved quickly to stress how highly he rates the "jewel" in his side and insisted the next few years will show that his asking price for a player he believes is among the best in the world is realistic.

"Within two years, he's going to be better than Cristiano Ronaldo, [Lionel] Messi and [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic," Zamparini told Mediaset television. "It would take 40 million euros to take him away from us. He's the best striker in Serie A."

Dybala joined Palermo from Institute AC Cordoba two seasons ago, and remained with the club following their relegation to Serie B, becoming first-choice forward following the departure of Fabrizio Miccoli.

Zamparini has already seen players including Edinson Cavani come to prominence at Palermo. Cavani joined Paris Saint-Germain from Napoli for 64.5 million euros 18 months ago, and Zamparini said Napoli were fortunate to have obtained such a valuable asset for only 12 million two years before.

"Napoli got lucky because [Roberto] Mancini wanted either [Mario] Balotelli or Cavani [at Manchester City] and he ended up signing the former," he said.
