13 Nigeria Professional Football League teams, two from the Nigeria National League and Supreme Court FC, the only side left standing from the Nationwide League One, are the teams still contesting a CAF Confederation Cup berth.

The Lagos centre has thrown up a group of death, with the four teams involved - Kano Pillars, Rivers United, Kwara United and Abia Warriors - all NPFL clubs.

Defending champions Akwa United are tipped to pick up one of two tickets in Group D as they make the short trip to Aba, where they are pooled together with Kogi United, Wikki Tourists and Nasarawa United.

In the women's competition, where 12 teams are still standing, defending champions Rivers Angels are pooled in Group A, while runners-up Ibom Angels will battle it out with Delta Babes and Confluence Queens for the right to earn qualification from Group B.

The group-stage matches will be hosted in eight cities between 24-28 September, with the winners expected to progress to the quarter finals of the competition.
