Nigeria have the opportunity to avenge recent U-20 Women's World Cup final defeats by Germany after being drawn against Die Nationalelf in the group stage of the 2018 event in France.
The Falconets were defeated by Germany in the finals of both the 2010 and the 2014 event, but will have the opportunity to gain a measure of revenge after being pitted alongside the European giants in the group stage of the next edition of the tournament, scheduled for August this year.
China and Haiti complete the group in the 16-team tournament, where winners and runners-up will advance directly to the quarter finals.
The draw was hosted in Rennes on Thursday, with Nigeria among the second seeds in Pot 2.
The Falconets will play their first two games In Saint-Malo, beginning with a showdown with Germany on August 6, before squaring off against China in Dinan-Lehon in their final group game.
Africa's other representatives, Ghana, have their work cut out to advance from Group A after being drawn against France, New Zealand and the Netherlands, while holders North Korea have been pitted against England, Mexico and Brazil in Group B.
Group C features the United States, Spain, Japan and Paraguay.
Germany and the USA are the most successful teams in the tournament's history, having won three titles each.
Nigeria are the only African side to have reached the semi finals, having been defeated finalists twice and finishing fourth in 2012.
