Gombe United to take advantage of Rangers poor away form

Gombe United on Wednesday at the Pantami Stadium, will host Enugu Rangers in a rescheduled week 19 league game.

The two teams have struggled in the league this season, a situation which forced a managerial change at Enugu Rangers and a similar scenario about to take place at Gombe United -- following a three-match ultimatum handed to coach Manu Garba.

Little separates the two sides on the table. The home team is struggling in 18th place, scoring 13 goals in 18 games; while the champions haven't fared any better, netting 17 goals, 7 of which have come in the last four games and tied on points with the hosts.

Rangers have endured a torrid time on their away trips this season, failing to win any of their previous nine games on the road, picking up two draws at Nasarawa United and Akwa United.

Goal scoring has been a major issue of the Chukwuma Agbo tutored team, netting a total of three away goals this campaign.

Despite the addition of Ifeanyi George to the Flying Antelopes attack during the midseason transfer window, he failed to score in his only away game in Akure, having netted in all previous home games.

Gombe, despite their struggles are unbeaten at home, a clear indication that Rangers has an uphill task of achieving a result at the Pantami Stadium.
