Nice's Mario Balotelli can still become one of world's best - Marco Verratti

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has tipped Mario Balotelli to become one of the world's best strikers if he can change his attitude.

Balotelli joined French side Nice from Liverpool on deadline day and has made an immediate impact, striking twice on his debut in the 3-2 derby win over Marseille on Sunday.

And Verratti believes his fellow Italian, who has struggled for form in recent seasons, can still become the player he has previously promised to be if he can focus 100 percent on his game.

"He's a good player, a good guy. His problem up till now has been his attitude," Verratti told reporters ahead of PSG's Champions League game with Arsenal on Tuesday.

"I hope with all my heart that he will change a little and that he'll understand that football is not just 90 minutes on the pitch, but the whole week.

"He has a lot of qualities. Even if he has lost a little bit of time, he can still become a great player and be among the top four or five best forwards in the world."
