Kjaer has fallen out of favour with coach Felix Magath and is seeking to move on from Germany, while he has expressed his admiration for Roma as they seek to replace centre-back Philippe Mexes.

"I believe so [that the transfer will be completed]," agent Mikkel Beck told ASroma.no. "I am sure the clubs will find an agreement before the end of the transfer window.

"It's just a question of minor details. Simon has passed his medical and has agreed personal terms. Now we just have to wait."

Reports from Italy suggest that the only stumbling block to the deal is the fee, with Wolfsburg reportedly holding out for €10 million.
