Manchester City's Kolo Toure has said he is happy to stay at the Etihad despite holding talks with Bursaspor about a possible switch to Turkey.

The Premier League champions are believed to be willing to let Toure move on for around £3 million, but the defender - whose brother Yaya also plays for the club - is prepared to see out the remaining year of his contract.

Manager Roberto Mancini has been linked with summer moves for defenders including Liverpool's Daniel Agger, and Toure is already behind Vincent Kompany and Joleon Lescott in the queue for defensive places.

But he said: "I did speak to the people there [at Bursaspor], but I'm just focusing on City. I'm a City player - I still enjoy it here and you can see that. I love playing at the same club as my brother.

"But we will see what will happen. I've got one year left on my contract, and that's it. I am still at City, but you never know the future. For me, the most important thing is that every day I'm at City I'll give 100%."

Toure, who won the championship during his days at Arsenal, warned his team-mates that retaining their Premier League title - won in such dramatic circumstances - would be tough, saying: "It is harder to defend it the following season.

"Every game will be like a cup final - every team will give 100% to beat City because we are the champions. It's been a good pre-season. Now we need to confirm we are a good team, but there will be no easy way to do it. It is all about working hard, focusing and doing our job."
