Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik will be out of action for around three months after undergoing knee surgery, the club's head physio has said.
Milik suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee while on international duty with Poland and had an operation on Monday.
La Gazetta dello Sport reported Alfonso De Nicola as saying he "wanted to be optimistic" about the striker's recovery time and thought it would be "three, three-and-a-half months -- hopefully less."

A Napoli statement said the surgery had lasted around 40 minutes and was a complete success, while the player tweeted that he was "sure everything will be fine".
Milik, 22, was forced to come off at half-time during Poland's 3-2 win over Denmark on Saturday after sustaining the injury, and underwent a series of tests after the final whistle.
Poland's media officer Jakub Kwiatkowski revealed after the game that the player had damaged his anterior cruciate ligament and could face a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Milik joined Napoli from Ajax in the summer for a reported €32 million and has scored seven goals in nine appearances for the Serie A club.
